BwaBu is a FREE online destination for people to network and diet together. When embarking on a diet, most people are motivated and excited. As the days proceed, sticking to a diet becomes more challenging and motivation wanes. BwaBu was created to address diet failure. It’s our belief that (in many cases) the difference between diet success and failure is having a support system that provides encouragement, motivation and accountability. So, we created a platform that provides this.
BwaBu allows you to join together with like-minded folks, to achieve your goals. With BwaBu, your diet buddies can live across the street or around the world. Using BwaBu tools and resources you can track each other’s progress, and support each other all the way to diet success. If you’ve arrived at BwaBu without a particular diet in mind, no problem at all. BwaBu offers a wide array of diets for you to choose from, including some of today’s hottest. BwaBu also provides tools for you to build your own custom diet from scratch, or to add a diet if you don’t already see it here.

We most definitely are NOT doctors or nutritionists, and we’re not here to hype a particular diet plan. We hold the medical community in high regard and advise consulting a professional before embarking on any diet. We know there are a plethora of diets, iwebsites and experts providing endless theories, opinions and advice about dieting. BwaBu doesn’t have any delusions of grandeur. We’re simply here to encourage and support our members (who are often experienced dieters themselves) to freely exchange and share their experiences and insights.

BwaBu was inspired by a group of four buddies who, after gorging themselves at a BIG dinner in New York City, decided to go on a diet...TOGETHER. The ground rules were scribbled on cocktail napkins that same evening: for two weeks, no white flour, no sugar, no red meat, no alcohol except a glass or two of red each week, and two ‘wild cards’ a week. (You’ll find this diet on BwaBu as The Original Buddy Diet.) We agreed to email each other every day to report our adherence to the diet. Dieting together was definitely more motivating and fun, but after a while it became difficult to keep track of who was doing what with all these emails flying around. That’s when the proverbial A-HA moment occurred. Why didn’t we find a website that would allow us each to log-in and track our individual progress, and also to see how everyone else was doing. We’d be accountable for ourselves and to each other. The website we were looking for didn’t exist. So we decided to create it. Hence BwaBu was born.
